7-Zip is an excellent file compression and archiving tool, though it remains unfamiliar to many non-professionals. It is free software with open source, currently supports 87 languages, is suitable for all systems, and the software operation interface is also very simple. How to make associations with other compression formats

1、Enter 7-Zip File Manager and choose Tools > Options.

2、Click【+】and wait for 7-Zip to appear after the type, click Apply > OK.

How to compress and encrypt files

1、Select the file you want to compress, right-click to find 7-Zip, and click Add to archive….

2、In the pop-up window, you can rename the file and choose the archive location and format. If the files you transfer involve company secrets, Sinokap recommends setting a complex password with more than 8 digits to ensure the security of file transfer.

How to decompress (encrypt) files

Select the file you want to decompress, right-click to find 7-Zip, and choose from three options.

1、Extract files

In the pop-up window, click the “…” button, select the path where you need to decompress, and the file will be saved directly under this path.

2、Extract Here

Extract the contents of the compressed package directly to the current directory.

3、Extract to “file\”

The contents of the compressed package will be extracted to the current directory and in the folder named after the compressed package.

If the compressed file you received has a password, a window for entering the password will pop up when decompressing, just fill in the correct password.
