In today’s digital age, ensuring the security of your documents is paramount. PDFs are widely used for sharing information, but without proper protection, they can be vulnerable to unauthorized access and alterations. This guide will walk you through effective methods to secure your PDF documents.
1、Open the document that needs to be encrypted, click File >Document Properties.
2、Click Security under the category on the left, and select Password Security for the security method on the right.
3、For best results, it is recommended to change Compatibility to [Acrobe 6.0 and above].
4、Under the file password window, there are two options for you to choose. Directly set document access rights and limit modification and printing rights, and finally click [OK].
After the setting is complete, when the other party opens the file, a window for entering the password will pop up.
There are also specific permission settings below. The default preference should be set to not allow the user to perform any operations other than reading the document, and the other party will also be prompted for permission restrictions when opening the document.
Sinokap has always attached great importance to information security, so we recommend that you set a password with a certain degree of complexity.
In addition to the password complexity requirements, you also need to use two methods when transferring files. Usually, we recommend sending files by E-mail, and please inform the password by SMS/Phone.
