You can turn your emails into Todoist tasks by forwarding them to a project. The subject line will become the task name, and the body of the email will be added as a comment. All attachments smaller than 25MB will also be attached. If you don’t know how Todoist can help you be productive, check out our previous Todoist tutorials and Download Todoist right now!
The tutorial will be divided into two parts: Forwarding e-mails to Todoist Project and Forwarding e-mails to Todoist Comments.
At the top right of a project, click on the … three dots icon. Select Email tasks to this project.
Click Copy email next to the email address provided. Go to your mailbox interface, first paste the email address, and then add the content you need to supplement in the email body, and then the content will be displayed in the comments under the task.
You can also add due dates, labels, priority levels, and assignee right from your email client. All you have to do is include any of these in either the subject or any place above your signature in the body of your email.
2. Add labels
To add a label, add @labelname. For example, @work, @email, or @customer. Sinokap recommends that you can define the VIP customers of the service as a label so that you can quickly query the things that each customer needs to deal with.
3. Set the priority level
To add a priority, simply add p1, p2, or p3. Among them, p1 is the highest level, and so on. Note that the letter “p” needs to be lowercase here.
4. Assign it to a collaborator
To assign the task when forwarding the email to a shared project, add +firstnamelastname of the assignee. For example, if you’re collaborating with Kira and you want to assign the task to her, simply add +Kira.
The content you add in the email body has been displayed in the comments under the task.
Click on the task to open the task view. Click on the … three dots icon. Select Add comments via email. Click Copy email next to the email address provided. Use this email address to forward emails to the task.
